02/10/11 Inchgower Connoisseurs Choice 1993

A major constituent of the Bells blend, whisky from this Buckie distillery isn’t commonly available as a single malt. It’s part of the Diageo Flora and Fauna range but I’ve never seen a bottle of it for sale, never mind in a bar.

Sweet and nutty on the nose, salted peanuts (or peanut butter even?) Milk chocolate, maltesers.

Lots of malt on the palate, salty oak, a little dry smoke.

Medium to short length of finish, a bit lacking in depth but tasty enough.

A thoroughly decent dram, respectable. Not the most complex but it’s very enjoyable in spite of itself. 3/5.
