27/07/11 Glen Spey 1995

Here we have a Connoisseurs Choice Glen Spey, distilled in ’95 but NAS and bottled at 43%. I don’t know how old it is, I’d guess no more than 12yo but could easily be convinced it’s younger, maybe even only 8yo.

Quite pale in colour and fairly light in body.

The nose is very delicate with young bourbon oak flavours, vanilla, honey, ice cream, slightly woody. Very nicely balanced with lots of sweet juicy barley, green apples and the honey coming back over and over again.

A perfect dram for a warm summer evening.
