A Connoisseurs Choice (G+M) bottling of Auchroisk. Not well known as a single malt, much of it used for Diageo blends. The distillery itself (near Keith) is probably best known for it’s huge warehouses where a couple of hundred thousand casks are maturing…
This is a NAS 1993 bottle.
Nose is acidic and a bit sweaty. The palate is an improvement, malty and sweet with some honey.
Short finish. Soapy. A bit acerbic. A bit nasty.
