Another untasted distillery today, Glen Albyn from near Inverness which sadly closed in 1985 (I think)…
Buttery, sugary Scottish tablet, wet pine forest, hazelnuts, sweet grain, green apples.
This one really responds beautifully to water, I’m down to 1:1 now and it really is superb.
Complex, chewy, sweet but subtle.
