07/11/11 Guillon

Something completely new to me, French single malt whisky. Distillerie Gullon is near Reims, Champagne country and was established in 1997.

Sweet but very tannic, beautiful silky mouthfeel. Some caramel, white chocolate, condensed milk, sweet pastry, honey, some almost cognac-like grape.

Fascinating stuff, really soft, smooth and complex. I haven’t got a bad thing to say about it. Perhaps the finish could have a little more oomph?
