Smoked haddock, Serrano ham, warm gentle smoke, limes, green chilli.
The smoke is surprisingly sweet. When we finished building our house we had 6 or 7 packs of oak floor boards left which we put in an outhouse for storage. Unfortunately there was a flood and the flooring got soaked and warped, becoming the most expensive firewood ever Anyway, it burned in our stove beautifully and smelled exquisite: that’s exactly what the smoke in this dram reminds me of.
Very nice but no peat monster. Smooth, silky, gentle. Maybe too gentle?
